[VIDEO]: ‘CATHOLICS’ GO HAYWIRE, PROTEST BAN ON FR. MBAKA’S ADORATION MINISTRY

 

The Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese His Lordship Callistus Valentine Onaga, had ordered Catholics in Enugu to stop attending Rev. FR. Ejike Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry, pending the completion of the “canonical processes” initiated against Fr. Mbaka for what the Church considered as unguarded utterances against Peter Obi.

It would be recalled that  Fr. Mbaka, the Catholic Priest known to have made controversial Prophecies in the past, revealed recently that Obi, former Governor of Anambra State and Labour Party Presidential Candidate for the 2023 elections  will not win the Presidential Elections comw 2023. Expectedly, this “prophecy” sparked wild reactions amongst Obi’s supporters across divides in Nigeria and beyond.

Though Fr. Mbaka quickly retracted,  apologised to Obi and his numerous supporters, the Catholic Church acting through the Bishop banned Catholics from attending activities at Mbaka’s Adoration  Ministry. Aggrieved “adherents’ are seen in the viral video protesting against the decision of the Church.

While Nigerians are eager to know the outcome of the canonical processes, it is obvious that Mbaka’s outburst against Obi has recorded an unprecedented backlash yet in the history of reactions to Prophecies in Nigeria
