Few years ago,Lagos State Government introduced an online portal where anybody can check the name of the owner of a vehicle with just the plate number.
It was a good innovation, you can actually check to know who owns a car in Lagos with just the plate number from the comfort of your bedroom until Internet FBIs used the portal to discover that a $76,000 brand-new Mercedes-Benz 450 GL car being paraded by a popular Nollywood actress on Instagram Danielle Okeke was registered in the name of a popular Nigerian pastor, Apostle Suilemana as the owner of the car.
Immediately the whole social media drama died down, the Portal was pulled down by Lagos state government. Or modified to not show the name of owner of a car again.
