After the Super Eagles’ 10-nil thrashing of Sao Tome and Principe in the 2023 Totalenergies African cup of Na
tions qualifiers in Morocco on Monday, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has today arrived in Ilorin, Kwara State and was received by Kwara United chairman Kumbi Titiloye.
The Portuguese gaffer who arrived with one of the assistants will see Kwara United’s Nigeria Professional football league (NPFL) Matchday 34 clash against Sunshine Stars on Sunday at the Kwara State Stadium Complex Ilorin.
He recorded remarkable victories in his first competitive games for the team including a historic 0-10 win over Sao Tome and Principe.
Kwara United’s Chairman Kumbi Titiloye said Peseiro’s arrival is part of the initiative from the club’s management to promote the team and give the coach an avenue to have an insight on some of the NPFL Stars that will be on parade.
His presence will further encourage the players as their performance may earn them a call-up for the next round of qualifiers against Guinea Bissau.
