SHOCKER: NPFL BIG BOYS, ENYIMBA, RANGERS KNOCKED OUT OF AITEO CUP 2022

Enyimba FC and Rangers FC have been knocked out of the ongoing AITEO Cup competition by Niger Tornadoes FC and Heartland FC.
The two NPFL giants were tipped as favourites for the Cup but bowed out of the competition in the Round of 32 games decided Wednesday across various centres in Nigeria.
Enyimba were knocked out 6-5 on Penalties by Niger Tornadoes following a 0-0 scoreline in regulation time.
The Abdul Maikaba tutored Rangers played a 1-1 scoreline at regulation time with Heartland FC before bowing out 7-8 on penalties.
With their exits, both clubs will not be participating in the continent next season.
In the other results, two-time Aiteo Cup Champions, Akwa United FC were 3-0 winners over Remo Stars, with Samuel Amadi netting a hat trick to lead the Promise Keepers past Remo Stars.
Green Berets knocked out defending Champions Bayelsa United.
Kano Pillars whitewashed Zamfara United 5-0 while Sunshine Stars humbled Rovers FC 5-1.
