IKWUANO LGA TO ENJOY MASSIVE INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT TO BOOST THEIR AGRARIAN ECONOMY- ENGR. NWAFOR
Despite yawning gap in development indices visible in Ikwuano Local Government Area, solid and achievable plans are underway to ensure the area takes its pride of place as the food basket of the State; considering the fertile land mass, human and material resources prevalent in the Local Government.

Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Aspirant in the 2023 elections, gave this assurance when he made a flag stop at Ikwuano as part of his interactions with PDP members, stakeholders and his supporters across local governments in Abia State.

The elated Construction Giant informed his audience that over the years and preparatory to his self – ordered decision to govern Abia State, he has data at his disposal that would reawaken the consciousness of farmers in the area while providing standard agricultural equipment, grants and enabling environment that would move farmers from the itinerant status to mechanised farming, contributing huge returns beneficial to farmers and the State. In addition, he hinted that the blueprint he developed would tackle challenges related to environmental degradation, improved health care facilities, poor road network, dearth of educational facilities, and comprehensive rural development among others. While appreciating efforts of past and previous administrations at intervening in key development sectors in Ikwuano, the Serial Enterpreuneur insisted that his document on “practical governance” captures Ikwuano’s challenges and would be delivered with relative ease to surpass the people’s expectations.

Engr. Nwafor said he is “not unmindful of the expected meagre resource that may slow down projected activities”. “However”, he continued, “we propose a government that would do away with wastes while prudent management of avaliable resources would break the odds in favour of the masses”.
In unison, PDP members, stakeholders and his supporters thanked Engr. Nwafor for appreciating the role of the people in his policies and programmes. They also informed him that, “at the fullness of time, the PDP family in Ikwuano will reciprocate his gesture of respect and recognition.
