CP IFEANYI HENRY UCHE: WHY LER COMMUNITY ROLLED OUT THE DRUMS FOR HIM

At Leru, during the Grand Civic Reception of CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche, Dr. Alex Otti the Governor of Abia State and his Enugu Counterpart Dr. Peter MBA said something similar, yet very remarkable about the Commissioner of Police being honoured by his native Leru Community in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State. They agreed that CP Uche is a stickler for perfection and no matter how close you are to him, he has zero tolerance for compromising standards. Beyond CP Uche’s professionalism that has seen him being decorated with enviable laurels including Chairman, INTERPOL African Working Group and Vice – Chairman, Head of Cybercrime Africa and American Certified Fraud Examiner, just to mention but a few, Leru Community is proud of CP Uche’s efforts at boosting infrastructural development and investing heavily in the human capacity development of Leru Youths.
29th of Decemeber 2024 was the last Sunday of the year. Many had different engagements and would hardly spare long time at a particular event. This theory was proven wrong as Leru Community Primary School, Umunneochi, venue of the Grand Civic Reception in honour of CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche, an illustrious son of Leru whose years in the Police Force are marked with excellence; dignity and integrity; was filled to the brim with everyone glued to their seat.
Women, children, traders, artisans, businessmen and professionals stay glued at the event venue as they listened to their own people , the Inspector General of Police, Governors, Senators, top businessmen and professionals pay glowing tributes to their son Ifeanyi, a Commissionser of Police, Director, Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre, the creative police officer who in 2017 established Nigerian Police Cybercrime Investigation Unit INTERPOL, the smart officer who applied his investigative acumen to arrest cybercriminals that scammed Ovil Care London and diverted COVID 19 testing machines worth over 70,000 Pounds through Business Email Compromise, among other achievements.
In different stands within the venue, different groups had something spectacular to say about CP Uche. You would get emotional when you read from “Beneficiariss of CP Ifeanyi Henry Uche” who declared that CP Uche’s mentorship and love for Community have not only given hope to all of them but inspired a new generation of leaders. The President – General of Leru Community, Friday Ugwaka; announced to the whole world that CP Uche has been pivotal in the employment and recruitment of officers and men from Leru, into the Nigerian Army, Navy, Police Force , Customs, Immigration, Prison Services and Civil Defence by guiding and advising them on the Protocols for a successful recruitment. Leru people appreciate that CP Uche has attracted many Federal Government development projects to Leru, including but limited to a block of classroom and a block of building housing the digital library for Leru Secondary School, fully equipped with computers, digital books and study materials.
It is not difficult to figure out why the whole of Leru stood still to honour their own. They are celebrating their own son, a police man that lives and breathes integrity, a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator, Certified Ethical Hacker, member INTERPOL Cybercrime Advisory Body, member Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists, Fellow, Nigeria Institute of Social Media Analysts, OCHIAGHA UMUNNEOCHI, Ifeanyi Henry Uche, Commissioner of Police and Director, Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre.
