In what appears to be a deliberate paradigm shift, The Concerned Youth Empowerment Association of Nigeria has strengthened her commitment in agricultural development activities by conducting an Agric Prize Winning  Competition on Native foods.  The context was among the Secondary School male students representing the three senatorial districts of Abia State.

In a keenly contested competition, Ibeku High School , Umuahia,  represented Abia Central,  while Osusu Community Secondary School,  Aba, represented Abia South. Ofali Agwu Secondary School Ohafia represented Abia North.   An interesting highlight was expose by contestants on the health values of their native foods and why it was the best for everyone to eat.

At the end of the exercise,  Abia South came first,  Abia Central  and Abia North were declared 1st and 2nd Runners Up  
Hon.  Ginger Onwusibe who was excited by the design of the contest paid for the prizes won while urging the Group to continue the good work.  
Other major highlights of the events were presentations on Beehive,  Ginger farming and processing; recognition of individual contributions.  Rt.  Hon.  Solomon Adaelu,  House of Reps Member,  Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal constituency, was recognized as the  Most Outstanding  Compassionate leader of the year 2021 while Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency was honoured as the Best Agricultural Development Sponaor of the Year 2021
The President of the Organization Comrade Noble C. C.  Adaelu among other prizes enlisted the three schools that participated into Agro Processing Entrepreneurship Education Scheme of the organization.  With the approval of the Executive Secretary of Secondary Education Management Board,  Mr.  Christopher C.  Osuagwu who was present at the event,  the greater part of school farmlands will be used for Ginger farming.
The Honourable Commisoner for Basic Educatiom Chief Rocks Ukwu was ably represented by a Director in the Ministry while Ekene Nwaohamuo stood in for Hon. Solomon Adaelu
