ABIA 2023: ABIA STUDENTS INTERACT WITH NANA, APPLAUD HIS LEVEL OF PREPAREDNESS TO BE GOVERNOR
Abia Students under the auspices of National Association of Abia State Students (NAAS) have expressed satisfaction with the blueprint on how to realise Abia of our dream presented to them by Engr. Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor.

The students led by their National President Bethel Agbara, National and Chapter Executives of NASS were at Umuojima, the country home of Nana Nwafor, Governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) as part of their resolve to listen to all candidates across party lines to ascertain their programmes and policies.

Engr. Nwafor in his remarks, noted that the visit by the students is an eloquent testimony that most Nigerians, more than ever before, are interested in the personality of those seeking public office. Nana took time to take the students on a grand voyage of how he has developed a blueprint that would “challenge dearth of infrastructure, revive the education sector, place security on irreversible first line charge, make farming attractive while offering life changjng options to SMEs among other critical interventions”. He encouraged the students not to relent in their probe as good governance comes with unprecedented advantages.

Bethel reiterated that what the student body is doing is in line with the current trend where critical stakeholders like Students must be actively involved in deciding who gets elected. According to the National President, NASS had sought to interact with Nana so that he tells the students what and how he would do things differently when he becomes the Governor.

After the session that lasted over an hour, the Students were overwhelmed with the extent of preparedness of Engr. Nwafor to govern Abia. In their respective speeches, the students unanimously agreed that “Nana has a clear cut understanding of the appropriate mixes to birth Abia of our dream”. Continuing, the students also observed that, “Nana is at home with issues and challenges, exhibited the appropriate temperament and demonstrated ability to implement his proposed blueprint”.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of an Award of Honour to Engr. Nwafor for his immeasurable support to individual students and NAAS as a body.
The student body continues with their interactive session with candidates across political parties in Abia State.
