WHEN A GOVERNMENT LOOKS BEYOND 100 DAYS IN OFFICE: THE ENUGU STATE EXAMPLE
The Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has demonstrated overtime that he has a clear cut vision and direction his administration is headed.

With a State Executive Council that is less than Two weeks old, nobody will be left in doubt that the Governor is investing in credibility, transparency and accountability. He did not cram the policies. He is letting dynamism take the better part of his policies and programmes.

1. Enugu State Government to construct 81 roads, 71 in Enugu Urban and 10 across other towns and villages to connect Enugu
2. The 71 roads cut across Trans Ekulu, Abakpa, Emene, Awkunanaw, Coal Camp, Asata, New Layout, Achara Lauout, Idaw River, among others
3. Identified specific “heavy morning traffic” spots that will have flyovers built to ease traffic. Abakpa junction is specifically mentioned.
4. Existing roads such as the Enugu – Ugwogo Nike – Opi Nsukka Road and GRA – Trans Ekulu have been marked for dualisation.
5. Approved the implementation of short to long- term programmes and policies to improve security, alleviate the challenges occasioned by the removal of subsidy
6. Involve the Local Government Areas in the distribution of palliatives. Note that Enugu has functional local governments.
7. Approved the digitisation of MDAs to increase work efficency. While this is ongoing, no salaries will be withheld.
